Porsche Boxter

This Porsche convertible is a joy to drive. The Porsche Boxster, is a a superior car with high driver performance. This car respond spontaneously to every movement of the throttle. Not only stunning beautiful, but only listen to the typical Porsche sound. Experience how sportivity and comfort can be yours in this car.

The Porsche Boxster is a 2-persons roadster with softtop, the
engine is central placed just behind the driver- end passenger
seats and rear wheel drive. This car is manufactured by the
German sports car manufacturer Porsche.

The name "Boxster"is contracted from boxer and roadster and is based on the Porsche 550 Spyder
(where, among others,  also the central exhaust outlet is copyed from).

With this model Porsche would go back to the Porsche 911-tradition (6-cilinder boxerengine, rear wheel drive and lots of horsepower underneed the hood), after a lot of criticism was expressed on the non-boxer models with front mounted engines (Porsche 928, Porsche 924, Porsche 944 and later Porsche 968) that where not "real" Porsches, as was said. The Boxster is an unexpected success. Sales surpassed the wildest expectations.

The first generation called '986 ' has a 2.5 liter engine that delivers 204hp. After a facelift in 1999, the Boxster S was added to the range. This was a larger 3.2 liter engine that delivers 252hp. The base model got a 2.7 liter in place and that caused 220hp.
